After a long wait of two years and almost one month after the release of
StarOffice's new version, OpenOffice.org has released the OpenOffice version 2.0.
The new version is available for download for Windows, Linux, and Solaris. The version for MAC is yet to come.

Features of the new version are:

#. Open standard OASIS OpenDocument XML format as the default file format.
#. Enhanced PDF Exports, the basic PDF export feature has been improved.
You can define the compression levels of embedded images.
#. Create Xforms using the new version
#. Most awaited, Now OpenOffice Calc has 65,536 Rows, means greater
interoperability with Microsoft Excel.
